WHAT TO EXPECT

The Audition

Every student joins NPA through audition. Our workshop-based auditions are designed to help every young performer feel comfortable while giving us the opportunity to see their potential.

We look for imagination, commitment, focus and a genuine readiness to train. No previous experience is required.

All of our auditions are group-based workshops. In Musical Theatre auditions, performers will also sing a short solo section within the group.

No preparation at all.
Auditions are workshop-style and designed to help students feel relaxed, confident, and supported from the moment they arrive.

All sessions are delivered by experienced, DBS-checked staff in line with our safeguarding and welfare policies, and a qualified First Aider is present on site at all times.

Yes, there is free parking on-site at Hills Road Sixth Form College.

You’re welcome to use the College’s parking on Purbeck Road, CB2 8HY (off from Hills Road).

There will be signage to the Main Hall from the car park.

Once you submit the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email with full audition details, timings, and what to expect on the day.

After the audition, we’ll be in touch to discuss outcomes and next steps.
